Do you actually know what you should receive from your Personal Trainer?
If you do, then great. If not, then you’re certainly not alone. It’s not uncommon for someone to receive a PT service that just isn’t up to scratch for what a trainer should provide. It’s also not uncommon for one person to be paying a price with a PT that, if it was spent elsewhere with another, would provide them with considerably more value for money, alongside a service that would trump the majority of PTs.
In my early years of becoming a PT, I would study and research every single day without fail. I was new to the game and I needed to know HOW to get my clients results and at the time one of the best ways to do this was to LEARN. Learn as much quality information as possible to help me become a better coach and ideally guarantee my clients the best results. By the time I was 19 I had already studied enough to clearly identify what works and what doesn’t work, which is a very important factor to helping someone achieve great results. Fat loss in theory is pretty simple… Consume less calories than you expend daily and as a result of this, you will use stored fat as energy to function, thus resulting in fat loss. So, basically eat less and stay active so your body can burn stored fat for energy. Sounds straight forward enough, right? Yet so many of us struggle to actually lose fat. That’s because in reality it’s not that simple. There are loads of reasons and influences, internally and externally, that make you prone to eating more and moving less!
‘Why does my weight always go up and down?” This is a question we get asked a lot from our clients.
My answer is always “If your weight doesn’t fluctuate you’re not from this planet”. I’d actually be more worried or sceptical if you’re weight didn’t up and down all the time.
